A Brief Look at Matria's Benefit Plans

Core Benefits - are the starting point of Matria's comprehensive program that acknowledges the importance of individual needs and individual choices. At the core of the plan are the essentials: paid vacation, paid holidays, short-term disability and sick days, as well as educational assistance, an employee assistance program (EAP), adoption assistance, bereavement leave, military leave, business travel insurance, jury duty, CEU days and time off to vote.

Flexible Alternatives - a flexible benefits program enables you to "design" the healthcare and income protection portion of the plan to best fit your needs and those of your family today. It also provides regular opportunities for you to modify the plan as your priorities change. As a special part of Flexible Alternatives, Reimbursement Accounts provide you with an opportunity to repay yourself tax-free for specific healthcare or dependent day care expenses, which are not covered under the program. Flexible Alternatives benefits are effective the first day of the pay period following 30 days of full-time employment.

Capital Accumulation Benefits - Matria's VIP 401(k) Plan offers pre-tax savings with Company matching contributions, and Matria's Stock Purchase Plan offers employees the opportunity to purchase company stock at 85 percent of the market price. Eligible employees may participate in the 401(k) Plan and the Stock Purchase Plan effective the first day of the calendar quarter following employment.
